THIS IS NO ORDINARY DELOREAN
Once powered by a 130hp PRV V6, this DMC-12 is now the Ampere Development and Demo vehicle. Powered by our Atom Drive System using a Tesla Small Drive Unit and a triple battery setup, this icon of futurism has more than double the stock horsepower. It’s once sluggish steel body now reaches 60mph in just over 4 seconds, and 88 soon thereafter.
This car also has several custom parts that make it unique. The entire control system is exactly what you would find in our Conversion Kits, but there are some subtle changes to fit this vehicle. It has a two-screen setup, with a wider 20″ display replacing the gauge closer to accompany the standard Graphical Interface that comes with our system. It also has a specially designed center console and a new gear selector. Other than that, this car has retained the completely stock look. You might not even notice it was electric if it weren’t for the charging port.
While most of the most notable upgrades when using our Atom Drive System are about speed and power, We looked far beyond modern performance. We also considered the feel of the vehicle when developing our system, and you can tell when you take a seat in this DeLorean. There is fully functioning AC and Heat. You can choose from several drive modes. One-Pedal Driving can be toggled on or off. We have truly brought not just the performance, but comfort of a modern EV to any vehicle using our Atom Drive System.
These creature comforts are non-invasive as well. This DeLorean still looks and feels like how it did when it rolled off the assembly line, but with all the features and performance expected from a modern EV. The interior is intact, and so is the body. you wouldn’t know its an EV until you put the pedal down.
